Documental cinema claims to communicate with the world as much as it possible in the real time. Spring film festival "Contact" tries to perform this little bit naive task So it collects and shows lot of films of this genre from all the world. This task isn't easy, because in Ukraine exists appreciable lack of documentaries. That's why for Ukrainian audience the possibility to see the works of new schools and directors is very important. And the interest to documental cinema is growing up.

Festival consists of competitive and non-competitive program. Competitive block divides on two parts: feature and short films. In the non-competitive program you can see retrospectives of famous filmmakers of other international film festivals of documentaries and special events.
