Film festivals > Molodist

The name of this festival is more expressive than any comments about it. Born from local student competition in 1970 "Molodist" has recommended itself as the place, where talents could be discovered and seen. It is here during the year the careful selection of the tapes of the talented youth has been taking place. The films are collected not only in the Ukraine but also on an international scale. The results of this work are evident. The debutants of "Molodist" are such famous European directors as Gaspar Noe, Tom Tykwer, Danny Boyle, Laurent Bouhnik, Oleksiy Balabanov, Shona Auerbach, Denis Evstigneev, Jacques Audiard, Dmitriy Meskhiev, Valeriy Todorovskiy, Francois Ozon, Stephen Daldry, Sergiy Maslobojschikov, Bilge Geyran,

Now this is a big International festival the one similar in Ukraine. Every year it has a big program, consisted of competitive and non-competitive parts. That is near 400 films. Competition program has three categories:

• Student film,
• Short film,
• Feature film.

The father of festival is Andriy Khalpakhchi and "Molodist" is his lifework. He is an art-director of "Molodist" and heads the Festival together with a general director Maxim Illyashenko.

So "Molodist" invites all talented and unordinary directors and cinema viewers! You are welcome!
