Today press conference has been held in cinema Kinopalace dedicated to the opening of the Days of Polish Cinema in Kyiv.

The Festival has opened a day earlier with a Grand Ceremony with President of Ukraine Mr.Viktor Yushchenko awarding Andrzej Wajda with  Order of Yaroslav the Wise. After that the director has presented his film KATYN along with his wife, scenographer and actress Krystyna Zachwatowicz and stars of Polish cinema actress Magdalena Cielecka and actor Andrzej Khyra.

17 April after the press screening representatives of numerous accredited mass-media had opportunity to meet the guests and organizers of the Festival.

Days of Polish Cinema in Ukraine have been held in Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv and the Kyiv Days' schedule is April 16-23.

The Festival is organized by Ukrainian Cinema Foundation, Polish Institute in Kyiv, Polish Film institute, with support of Institute of Adam Mickiewicz in Warsaw and general partner - company Nemiroff.
